A female osprey with her catch of a needlefish (a.k.a. garfish, Long Tom). This photo was taken approximately 6 seconds after the osprey grabbed the needlefish. During those six seconds, the needlefish put up a valiant struggle, so much so that its long beak got stuck in the osprey's feathers. This did not seem to phase the osprey in the least bit.
