Rocks at the Racetrack Playa in Death Valley National Park fall off the hill to the left and in the background on to the dry lake bed. Rare occurrences of rain, which turns to ice and traps the rocks, ice break up when the temperature rises, move the rocks along the broken up ice on the lake bed.
